Is anybody else having issues with DirecTV?

My family signed up for it about two months ago and while they provide more features than Xfinity at a lower price, a lot of that functionality just plain old doesn’t work. DVR’d shows keep cutting out 5 minutes or more before the show ends, etc. If we’d known this we’d probably would’ve gone with Netflix or Amazon Prime instead (a whole year of both costs about the same as two months of DirecTV). No wonder people keep “cutting the cord.”

Haven’t had that problem at all, and we’ve had them for over ten years.

With the DVR, you can set the recording to end a few minutes after the show’s scheduled time. Also, try rebooting the box; the clock might be misaligned with the schedule.

If all fails, call and complain.

Just a little point of information: Amazon Prime’s TV offerings are far less expansive than they seem to imply. I think 10% of the shows I’ve watched on Amazon came with Prime. The rest you had to buy at ~$30 per season.
